There are many ways to help raise the literacy level in Oconee County

If you would like to become a BabyRead volunteer and are at least 21 years of age, please submit your information via the form on the right. Your request will be sent to our Lead for New Volunteer Interviews, Julia Drake (austinsherw@yahoo.com).

We can use your time and talents in many ways:

  • Reading to families

  • Obtaining books & organizing book drives

  • Helping with local fundraising activities (like Belk Charity Sales)

  • Developing and/or distributing promotional materials

  • Identifying local outreach and speaking opportunities

  • Organizing events & helping with publicity

  • Performing administrative support

  • Contacting churches & other supporting organizations

Your request will be forwarded to our Lead for New Volunteer Interviews.
