BabyRead® Outreach Program

We have a wide-ranging public awareness program with broad community support

  • We respond to calls and emails from our website and referrals.

  • We distribute hundreds of BabyRead bookmarks to over 50 local establishments — that’s over 17,000 bookmarks!

  • We are interviewed on local radio stations bimonthly.

  • We participate in the Belk Charity Sales.

  • We recruit new families through the Oconee County 4K Sign-Up events, at Back to School events, and other elementary school events.

  • We partner with three pediatric organizations — part of the Reach Out and Read (ROR) Carolinas network of pediatricians.

  • We provide books & age-appropriate magazines to Early Head Start/Head Start.

  • We are expanding our outreach to several day care centers.
