BabyRead Family Reading Program
Our Approach
BabyRead’s approach is unique among other pre-literacy programs.
Our trained and screened readers work one-on-one with families/caregivers, typically twice a month for up to one hour depending on your child’s attention span.
Families are encouraged to read and talk with their babies every day.
Gift cards for food or gas are provided as incentives for regular frequent reading, new families, and successful new family referrals.
Readers demonstrate approaches for cuddling, reading, singing, reciting nursery rhymes, performing finger plays, and language development.
A free book and healthy snacks (as desired) are given to moms/caregivers at each in-person session.
Family readers will also provide age-appropriate books or magazines and snacks for siblings who attend reading sessions.
